“The blessed life” Life as God intended it
We are living in challenging times, times where men’s hearts are filled with fear, selfishness, pride and self centeredness. The Word of God speaks very clearly about these days and it tells us that men shall be lovers of self and haters of God. The economies of the world, the governments and the cultures are built and based on a system that God calls “this world” this is a system that is designed to steal, kill and destroy, but we all know that Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. He came to destroy the works of the devil.
This however was never Gods intention, it became the norm because man went his own way and forsook the ways of God. In spite of all this God still loved man so much He made a way for man to come back int the centre of His will. He sent Jesus to pay the price for us to receive redemption. To be bought back and once again be His beloved sons and daughters walking in the blessing that He has always intended for us to enjoy.
In the study you will discover how you can walk and live according to the Word of God and enjoy “The Blessed Life” life as God intended for man. In John 5 vs. 39 Jesus said “search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me. A religiously tainted heart filled with skepticism can search the same scripture as one whom with a genuine hunger, faith and expectation and get different results. So as we study the Word do it with an open heart ready t learn and grow; don’t be a Pharisee, Sadducee or a Thomas, rather a Peter who steps on the water, catches fish, gets gold in the mouth of a fish, see’s the transfiguration of Jesus and the resurrection of the dead girl and gets the sharp rebuke of Jesus as He say’s get thee behind me satan.
There is an adventure waiting for you in the Word of God that will leave you loving God and His Word more than ever before but it will also leave you in the place where you are enjoying the blessed life. Pull out your Bible, notebook and pen and lets fasten our seat belts as we take of on a journey that will change your life.
The Blessed life
In this study I want to help the believer to answer the following questions.
1. What does it mean to bless, to be blessed “to live the blessed life?”
2. How can I activate blessing in my life?
3. Does blessing just come randomly?
4. Is Ephesians 1 vs. 3 a reality?
5. How did I become a partaker of this blessing?
6. What did Christ do that made the difference?
7. Is it possible to be blessed and not enjoy the blessing?
Many believers think that living the blessed life is impossible or it is for a few selected people that are blessed. The reality is that God intented all mankind to live the blessed, it has always been his intention for you and me and any other human being to enjoy the blessed life. Including some of those people that you think do not derserve anything from God. God loves tham and has prepared all this for them as well. The Bible says “It is god’s goodness that leads men to repentance” He also says in His Word that he causes the rain to fall on both the good and the evil.
So I can say emphatically that “Yes its possible to meet the requirements”
The lesson begins
Foundation of the teaching is the words spoken by God Himself
Genesis 1 vs. 26-31
When mans existence started with the blessing. Man was born into blessing and that is God’s plan for you and for me. As a child of God you have a right to all this that God has prepared for mankind. We were not born into curses we were born into benediction, the speaking forth of favorable words.
The law of first mention says “When God (The Word) mentions something for the fist time it becomes a abiding law or principle. So the picture is this it is God’s plan for man to walk and live in the blessing. The Biblical precedent says so.

Foundational truth
Blessing and cursing come as a result of principles that are activated
Whether or not you walk in blessing and favor does not depend on God but on you. He has given us the principles and laws that govern the blessing or the cursing. Much like speed cameras on the roads. The roads were not designed to give you speeding tickets but the blessing of ease of travel and access to different facilities. But the government puts rules to govern how we use the roads, they tell us when to stop, go, yield and how fast we should go on a certain road.
Now if you violate any of these laws you a liable to get a ticket or even get arrested. Therefore what you do activates blessing (getting around well) or cursing (getting a fine or ticket). It is in you best interest to learn what is required of you in order to get the best results in your driving experience that is why we go for road tests.
Genesis 3 vs. 1-24
We meet an incarnation of satan in the serpent and he deceives the woman to violate the principles that God had established, she causes he husband to break the rules and they get arrested so to speak and are banished out of the garden. Creation that was meant to serve them and to bless them is now a curse to them and they struggle to get sustenance out of it.
If satan can convince us that a lie is truth we are in his territory and he has the upper hand if we remain in the realm of Truth (John 17 vs. 17, 1 John 3 vs. 3) we will be safe
Unfortunately Eve believed a lie and acted in line with it and hence activated a law (Romans 8) that resulted in death, Adam followed suite and there was a problem
Notice God said in Genesis 3 to both Eve and Adam “Because you have done this…” the curse came as a result of action
What satan, the woman and the man did in chapter 3 put laws into motion that had negative consequences.
When God blessed man in Genesis He activated laws that worked for mans benefit
Later when Jesus came his primary assignment was to reverse all of this and take us back to the garden (the place of the blessing) the only difference is he had done an up grade on man (1 John 3 vs. 7-16)
Garden of Eden was a place of death because of disobedience the garden of Gethsemane was a place of life and blessing because of obedience
Adam and eves actions took us out of the blessing Jesus’ action brought us back (Romans 5 vs. 8-21)
Lets explore this further “why did Jesus die on the cross?”
Galatians 3 vs. 7-18
“
Having said his let us ask,
"What is the blessing of Abraham?”
To understand the context read the following scripture and meditate on them. When I did this is what the Holy Spirit spoke to me
Genesis 12 vs. 1-5
Genesis 17 vs. 1-8
The blessing was…
1. Real estate
2. Multiplication (family relationship and growth)
3. Influence (favor, open doors and preferential treatment)
4. Authority (control of territory)
5. Ability to bless others (Be a blessing)
6. Community blessing (others walk in blessing because of you)
7. Protection (sickness, disease, enemies)
8. Global influence
This is what has come upon the gentiles
In order for this to happen I have to walk in line with the Word and activate the laws that cause the blessing to manifest. We will explore these areas to see whether it is scriptural to expect blessing in these 8 areas that I have highlighhted. And if it is what can I do to see these manifest in my life.
If what Is listed above looks anything like what you might enjoy in your life then hang around and discover the powerful promises of God that guarantee you The blessed life.
