Take Dominion Not Debt
God’s
first instruction to man is seen in Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every
living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28)
This
was man’s divine mandate to dominate and rule the world that God had created
and make it work for the good of the ultimate purpose that God had given to
man, which was to establish earth as a colony of heaven. Man was created with
the DNA and the hardware to dominate so at this moment God was uploading the
program for man to dominate. Things went wrong very quickly as satan was aware
of the problems that would emanate from man walking in his God-given dominion.
Satan immediately designed a virus called sin, which was going to corrupt the
program that was uploaded into man. Sin began to cause man to malfunction, he
had a desire for what was destructive, and he had a desire to dominate other
man and not the rest of creation. Man suddenly had a corrupted desire to be
above other man by having what others did not have and looking wealthier and
mightier than others. The Kingdom mandate was lost.
The
angels marveled at the dominion that was given to man and made this statement.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and
the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little
lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over
the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: (Psalm
8:4-6)
Notice
the verse say’s “…Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands…”
God gave man dominion over the works of His hands. Meaning that man is the boss
of creation, he is in charge. To have dominion means to determine how things
turn out. It means man is powerful as seen right through the bible. This
dominion was to manifest in every area of his life including financial
dominion. One cannot walk in dominion according to the divine instruction
unless they are free financially. God designed man to be free in this area and
not just free from physical chains. Slavery today centers around economic
limitation, people are heavily in debt and cannot live life to the full as per
Gods plan. Over 80% of people in Africa are said to be in debt in other parts
of the world the figure is as high as 95%. This includes formal debt with
institutions or informal from loan sharks. Debt ranges consumptive debt to business
debt. Borrowing to buy food and pay bills, to buying cloths, cars, and houses.
Some borrow money to pay debt and hence sink deeper into debt.
Whichever
way you look at it debt is bad and will limit your ability to dominate as per
the divine instruction. You have to get
yourself out of debt and decide to stay out of debt.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
When you
are a child of God you filled with the Holy Spirit you have the ability to
dominate and manifest the power of God in the area of debt free living. Unfortunately
the church has been taught that we are to wait for a Kingdom that is yet to
come some time in the future and there we will dominate. This is serious error.
The disciple’s asked Jesus are you at this time going to restore the Kingdom to
Israel? He responded by saying its not for you to know the times and the
seasons that God has places in his power or jurisdiction, then he speaks the
verse quoted above. The power that we receive cancels the delay factor
mentioned above. It bring the Kingdom into the now, in other Word the Kingdom
has been restored to Israel but not the natural Israel it is the church, the
spiritual Israel that represents the Kingdom of God. We therefore must have
power now to establish the Kingdom of God and cause the purpose of God to
express itself.
A
futuristic Kingdom is not faith, neither can it be a help now in changing the
world, so lets stop singing “I fly away oh glory I fly away…” lets sing songs
of dominion and taking over the economies of the world. Lets talk about running
the marketplace, the political arena, education, civic society, the media
industry in all its vastness, we need to be speaking of building schools and universities,
hospitals and research centers. The church is the only institution that has the
peoples interests at heart without ulterior agendas. But because we have been
inoculated with religion we have become ineffective in establishing the Kingdom
of God. Debt has kept us in prison so our focus is survival and not taking
over.
And by
thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to
pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off
thy neck. (Genesis 27:40)
This word
used to challenge me a lot and still does but now I am clearer about it than
before. You can stay in a state of bondage until you are unhappy about it then
decide you want to be free. You break free from bondage by a decision to be
free, and the revelation that you are supposed to be free. Unfortunately many
are happily in debt because they do not realize that debt is not a good place
to be. They say ignorance is bliss, probably because they feel its better to
settle in prison than put up a fight to get free. Of all the things I teach
none gets attacked as much as this point. Many would rather be in debt and
justify why debt is ok than make a decision to be debt free. The debt offered
by the banks allows you to pretend to be rich and never become rich. You are a
slave as long as you don't make decisions for yourself in line with your
vision. Someone decides when you wake up, when you get to work what time you go
for lunch and tea and go back home. You cannot visit certain countries because
you have not broken the economic barrier, the devil wants to control the kind
of car you can drive, the house you can afford, the shops you can visit etc. In
spite of this we still prefer the devil and his system than leaning towards Gods

I
remember seeing a billboard from one of the banks in the country I live in that
said. “80% of the vehicles on the roads are financed by us”. They were proudly
advertising that they have financed most of the vehicles that were on the road
and calling for other people to come and get financing. This is sad to know the
amount of bondage in the world today. You don’t really own the vehicle you just
borrowed it from them to drive around as long as you are fit and capable enough
to pay your installment which by the way makes you pay almost double what you
would have paid had you found the blessing route. Let me close by quoting
Morpheus in the movies Matrix. “We never free a mind after it has reached a
certain age, it is to dangerous. I did it because I believe you are the one
Neo…” We need to rethink what debt is and its adverse effects on our lives. We
need to go back to the biblical model of living. The Bible says in proverbs…
Train up a child in the way he should go: and
when he is old, he will not depart from it. The rich ruleth over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender. (Proverbs 22:6-7)
Perhaps
your training told you debt is the best way to live, a good credit rating is
vital for survival, if this is what you believe then you may need to be
“reschooled” because the borrower is indeed servant to the lender. The word
servant there is the word slave. Most of us were trained to live in debt as the
normal setting, this is devilish and demonic. Robert Kiyusaki in his book Rich
Dad Poor Dad did a great job to help you see that what your poor dad taught you
needs to be erased. Now learn from God your true Rich Dad and you will live the
abundant life that He has prepared for you. You are old but perhaps its not too
late to unplug you from the system, you mind can be renewed to see the blessing
as the real way to live. Get up and make use of your God-given dominion and
walk in prosperity, and you and I can change the world.
